According to a Port St. Lucie police incident/investigation report, the 29-year-old Tebow was stalked by a Colorado female named Michelle Marie Thompson, who told authorities she was in a "romantic" and "matrimonial" relationship with the former Heisman Trophy victor.

Thompson was first questioned by New York Mets staff on February 26 in the late afternoon after she was caught hanging around the complex since the early morning, repeatedly asking questions about Tebow.

The officer asked for more details about the relationship with Tebow, but Thompson said she didn't feel it was appropriate to answer that question - and she giggled when questioned about whether the relationship was platonic, romantic or matrimonial. Police told her to leave the stadium and not return, but two days later she allegedly did; she was arrested that time and charged with trespassing.

Tebow played in his first spring training game with the New York Mets on Wednesday, and the only way it could have gone worse would have been if ... he died?

According to online records, Thompson was still in the St. Lucie County Jail on $750 bond as of Friday afternoon.

After the woman turned over her driver's license, the officer noticed a small sticker with the words "I (heart) Jesus/Tim Tebow". The New York Mets newcomer walked behind home plate and took his practice swings near Boston's on-deck circle.

Mets executive director of minor league facilities Paul Taglieri told police the woman had been walking around the complex since the early morning of the incident asking about Tebow.

Porcello threw a fastball past Tebow, then got him to look at strike three.

The 29-year-old Tebow won the 2007 Heisman Trophy at Florida.

Tebow is an minor-league outfield prospect with the Mets after he signed a contract with the club last September.
