Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Despicable Me 3, which reunites the former supervillain with his long-lost sibling.

And while the first trailer revealed the film's villain, the Trey Parker-voiced Balthazar Bratt, little else has been revealed about the plot aside from a few returning cast members as well as the introduction of a new character named Dru. While it's still quite a long while before that film drops, the latest trailer and everything else we know should satiate fans.

At the least, the Minions are far more thrilled about it than Gru, as they are still eager to play a supporting role for villains even after their star turn in Minions. "Despicable Me 3" will have some big shoes to fill this summer and is opening against two horror-titles, "Amityville: The Awakening" and "Wish Upon", and the comedy "The House".

Despicable Me 3 is set for release on June 30th and also features the voice talents of Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Nev Scharrel, Steve Coogan, Jenny Slate and Julie Andrews. It also marked director Pierre Coffin's directorial debut, with the man back at the helm for this third adventure.

Still, it doesn't look like Universal is planning to stop making Minions or Despicable Me movies anytime soon. Minions was the most successful film in the franchise, bringing in $1.1 billion worldwide.

The best things may come in threes, but what about the most despicable?

The Despicable Me franchise has become an animated-movie juggernaut, with 2010's original grossing $251 million, its 2013 sequel tallying $368 million, and its 2015 spinoff, Minions, raking in $336 million.
