A couple of jet skiers on a spring break were saved by Port Canaveral harbor pilot and a Brevard County Sheriff Marine Unit deputy from a near tragic accident. During his response, one of the skiers fell into the water and tried to get back on, but that caused the jet ski to flip, hurling both of them into the water as the ship was bearing down on their position.

The frightening incident, which was captured on video, shows Skylar Pentasuglia, 19, and Allison Garrett, 20, of West Virgina, riding together before losing control of the speeding jet ski, almost getting clipped by the massive watercraft. "No, get in!" people are heard screaming on the video as the ship came within feet of the pair. Primmer rushed to the scene and pulled both women from the water just as the boat was about to hit them.

A Canaveral Pilots Association statement says Capt. Doug Brown spotted them while navigating the Carnival Magic out of the port and alerted Primmer.

"I was limited in how far I could maneuver out of the way", Brown told Florida Today.

Milwaukee, Chicago, and Northeast to be hammered by snow
Flight cancelations are reported at Chicago airports as much of IL gets snow as part of a storm hitting the Midwest and beyond. The Chicago area could see its largest snowfall since before Christmas, with several inches of snow expected Monday.

A close call captured on camera.

"It was really scary to actually watch [the video], I didn't realize how close it was", Penpasuglia said. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon as the Carnival Magic was departing Port Canaveral for a voyage. Luckily for the two women a Brevard County sheriff was right there to pull them to safely as the cruise ship bore down on them.

"I could not be more proud of the actions of Deputy Tanner Primmer. who placed his life in peril without hesitation to rescue the Port visitors", Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a Facebook post.
