Midfielder Fernandinho has urged Manchester City to cast aside their painful Champions League exit at the hands of Monaco and make a swift return to winning ways in Sunday's Premier League clash against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool now find themselves in fourth place, five points ahead of Arsenal.

"Actually, I can't remember a not-important game in the Premier League, to be honest", Klopp said.

Hamann made over 300 appearances between the two clubs over a decade in the Premier League.

City are still licking their wounds after surrendering a 5-3 first-leg advantage to crash out of Europe's top club competition at the last-16 stage in Monaco in midweek.

The Reds should be confident coming into that match given that they play really well against top-six opponents and that City just lost to Monaco in the Champions League.

Senate confirms former Indiana Sen. Dan Coats for national intelligence director
Coats was twice a Republican Senator from IN , serving IN the 90's and then again for a term from 2011 to 2017. The confirmation leaves three Cabinet or Cabinet-level vacancies in the new administration.

He is hopeful that Liverpool take heart from their come-from-behind win over Burnley last weekend and look to graft it out for the rest of the season. The team that doesn't win the Champions League but gets to the final will make changes, I know that.

"I am really convinced about the circumstances and the basis we have".

Klopp said that Liverpool are aware it "can be hard to play in games like this" against top opposition, but said they "have to be at our best to get anything" because "they are strong, they are good and if you get a little bit passive, they play you around".

"There are always steps in this direction, and it's about consistency at the moment".

Yet Guardiola insists drastic changes are not necessary and is more concerned about their failure to take chances at the other end. Klopp admitted that it was not his best performance, "That's life for an outstanding football player", said Klopp. We have to use it but around us is a lot of quality. He by no means comes across as a player ruled by money but that is seemingly the image many have created of him. "The (international) break hopefully is two weeks, we hope that will bring him back but there will be no game in this time".

"They have huge talent, English players and foreign players, so I think they are a really good team".
