According to TMZ, Mel B was granted a restraining order on Monday after the industry vet accused Belafonte of being both emotionally and physically abusive towards her.

Former Spice Girls singer Mel B was married to film producer Stephen Belafonte for almost 10 years before their relationship became estranged. Brown claims Belafonte flew into a rage, punching her in the face with a closed fist and splitting her lip.

She also claims he filmed them having sex, sometimes secretly, and repeatedly threatened to release them publicly or to disrupt her business plans.

Aside from the regular physical abuse, Mel alleges that Stephen also impregnated their nanny and wanted to keep the child. She wrote that Belafonte was verbally abusive to her past year while she was on a trip to London during filming of "America's Got Talent". When the singer returned for the live finale of UK X Factor on Sunday, fans immediately noticed that she not only had scratches and bruises on her body, but that she wasn't wearing her wedding ring. Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, claims that she tried to leave her husband multiple times before the two separated in December, but that he threatened her with violence and said he would "destroy" her life in "every possible way". Her skin was burned from being pushed against the carpet and her face "actually scabbed over the rug burns".

Brown had previously made horrific allegations against Belafonte that started from the beginning of their marriage. Now she has listed details of her ordeal and has gotten a restraining order against him. In the end, he demanded the nanny get an abortion, and allegedly paid her more than $300,000 of Mel's money "for alleged nanny services". When she tried calling 911, Stephen locked her in their bedroom and told her to "die, bitch!'" Which is a violation of law since he's prohibited from carrying firearms as part of a domestic violence conviction involving another woman.

Good Thing: Asian-American Iron Fist Redesign Captures Artists' Imaginations
But Iron Fist cast Ward as a very different character from his original comics iteration. Indeed, I found that the overall tone of " Iron Fist " was its most jarring drawback.

For what it's worth, the site caught up with Stephen when he went to his and Mel's home to get his belongings after being order to stay away from the family's Hollywood home and denied all the allegations against him.

Belafonte told celebrity website TMZ in an interview on Monday, "I am shocked at those allegations..."

"I'm really really distraught my brain (sic) how this is going to affect our children. and the depths that she's gone to". We guess we'll have to see how this plays out in court.

I've long felt that Mel B's soon-to-be ex-hubby, Stephen Belafonte, was a total clown - and that's putting it nicely.
