Storms take aim at Alabama after killing 2 in Louisiana

A line of severe storms will push through the area with damaging winds of 60 to 80 miles per hour the primary threat, the weather service says.

Storms that move through Central Alabama will be capable of producing strong gusty winds and hail; a few isolated tornadoes are possible over far South Alabama.

State and local emergency management officials are recommending residents and visitors in North Florida stay alert as a cold front moves into the area today. "Rainfall could exceed up to another 3-6 inches locally in some areas causing flash flooding into the morning hours".
