Virat Kohli has hinted that he might make a return from injury in Royal Challengers Bangalore's IPL X encounter against Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy on Friday. I am just delighted to be back.

Samuel Badree's hat-trick went in vain as fellow West Indian Kieron Pollard (70 off 47 balls) scored his first fifty of this IPL season to power Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by four wickets here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday. The captain emphasised on winning the away games to go deep in the tournament. More importantly with Rohit Sharma, K Pollard not firing and Ambati Rayudu still recovering from the injury - against Pune - Pandya brothers can use a good start as a base for the late onslaught. So we made a decision to strengthen the bowling. "Nearly there. 14th April", Kohli posted on his Instagram account.

Once De Villiers settled down, he chose to go for the big ones and Kohli said "alright AB, let me also join in".

"Chris has always been a priority for us in the past so many seasons", said Kohli. Maybe that [injury] was just to reignite the spark in you that needs to stay. I wanted to let the guys focus on their game, and do the work on the sidelines. "The thing I said before the first Test, that has certainly changed and you won't hear me say that ever again". "He was happier playing with the kid I guess", said skipper Kohli. "I am in no position to judge anyone". I am not a senior in terms of captainship. I learnt a lot from that phase. "So, I think that was the inspiration", he added. He has been very patient with them. Against Punjab in their last match, AB de Villiers already demonstrated his superhuman ability and with Chris Gayle also likely to slot back in, Bangalore will be at full strength to take on a Mumbai Indians side which is running high on confidence after two buoyant wins.

Playing such a knock is never easy especially when you are just back from injury.

Kohli had spent the last two hours of his practice session batting, hitting cover drives after another without having a conditioning coach attend to him continuously.

RCB would post a total of 142 for 5 and while it didn't look enough at the innings break when Badree's shift was over the Mumbai Indians were in all sorts of trouble. In IPL, you can't take any team for granted and Mumbai, in that aspect, are stronger.
