Jennifer Hudson joining NBC's 'The Voice' in fall season

Hudson will join "Voice" mainstays Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as returning coach Miley Cyrus.

"We are thrilled she has chosen to join us as a coach to mentor the next generation through our unique vocal boot camp", said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment.

Season 12 of The Voice is still making its way through the live shows, but looking forward an exciting new face will be joining the coaching panel for season 13.

"The Voice" airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC, with season 13 premiering this fall. She came in seventh place on "American Idol" Season 3 in 2004.

Shelton and Levine will continue their streak of coaching in every season of NBC's Emmy-winning series.

Miley Cyrus - who left the show after Season 11 in 2016 - will also return.

The recent reorganization of coaches in the show has proven to be quite controversial especially after speculations about the real reason why Alicia Keys is leaving The Voice, as previously reported by the Inquisitr.

The Voice Season 12 is now airing on NBC. Her contestant Mo Adeniran won the competition.
