Visitors to the Nintendo booth at E3 will be among the first people in the world to try Super Mario Odyssey, in addition to various other games for Nintendo Switch. They'll also be hosting tournaments during the first two days of the 3-day event for their new fighter ARMS and the shooter sequel, Splatoon 2!

Splatoon 2 Tournament (June 13th): See top Splatoon squid squads from around the world claim their turf in the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational. Composed of four pre-qualified squid squads from the U.S., Japan, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand, the tournament will find teams participating in the first-ever global Splatoon 2 competition. Nintendo says it'll focus on Switch and 3DS games for release in 2017, specifically mentioning Super Mario Odyssey.

Nintendo will have its own dedicated livestream at this year's E3.

Nintendo has confirmed all the details about its E3 2017 plans.

Google's new 'Fuchsia' OS shown in new video and images
Google's plans for the OS are unclear, although it can reportedly run on 32- and 64-bit ARM CPUs, as well as 64-bit Intel CPUs. The Ars Technica rightly points out that there is no evidence as to Google's intentions with this operating system just yet.

"We are thrilled to be bringing Hyper Sentinel to Nintendo's newest platform", enthused Huey Games CEO and creative director Rob Hewson. Starting at E3 2013, Nintendo simply chose to share pre-recorded videos in the same style as its Nintendo Direct.

As for why the game still has a higher price tag for the Nintendo Switch physical version, the company revealed that they can't lower the price without selling it at a loss. The release of Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch is scheduled at 6pm PDT. Both a big-screen console and a handheld at the same time, it not only perfectly replicates and (in some ways) surpasses the Minecraft experience offered by more powerful systems, it also trounces the mobile versions of the game which came before it. Quite why a Nintendo Switch cartridge - essentially a jumped up SD card with a bitter taste - costs more to produce than a disc is anybody's guess.

Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said last month Nintendo would not hold a traditional press conference at E3 2017. What do you hope will be announced?
