The ACC announced 12 more years of future football matchups with Notre Dame through the 2037 season, adding four more games for both Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Several showdowns between the Tigers and Fighting Irish are in the future. By the end of the 2037 season, Notre Dame will have played 120 games against ACC opponents, beginning with the 2014 football season.

The Irish will play at Clemson on August 30, 2031, and at Virginia Tech on September 1, 2036, continuing the ACC tradition of playing on Labor Day Monday night. Given the status of Notre Dame's lucrative television contract with NBC, they will likely remain conference-less in football for quite some time ahead.

The Irish and the conference agreed to a 12-year partnership in 2013 that would include five games against ACC teams each year between 2014-2025.

Police officer who shot and killed Texas teen is fired
Edwards' parents want the as-yet-unnamed officer who fired the shots to be arrested, said their attorney Lee Merritt. Earlier Tuesday, the Edwards family asked that no protests or marches be held in Jordan Edward's name.

UofL will welcome the Fighting Irish in 2030, 2033 and 2035, with the Cardinals returning to South Bend, Ind., for the 2032 season.

Syracuse is slated to play at Notre Dame in 2026 and 2034. "As we look to the future, these games will continue to enhance the experience for our players, schools and fans".

Since then, the two teams have played twice - once in the 2012 Shamrock Series game at Soldier Field in Chicago and again, in South Bend, last season. The Fighting Irish's five games against ACC foes in 2017 include road games at Boston College, North Carolina and Miami and home games vs. NC State and Wake Forest.

About half the participants in the 2037 Notre Dame-Miami game are not now alive.
