Durant scores 38 points, Warriors beat Jazz to take 3-0 lead

"Ninety-one points is pretty good, they only shot 39 percent from the field and that got it done".

For the Jazz, Gordon Hayward is averaging 22.5 points per game, 4 assists per game and 4.5 rebounds per game, while Rudy Gobert is averaging 14.5 points per game and 12 rebounds per game in this series. Golden State envisioned Durant, a player of unique size, skill and shooting ability, giving opposing defenses nightmares with his unrivaled capacity to score in a one-on-one situation.

"The other 19,000 people in the arena and everyone else watching on TV saw the same thing I saw", Warriors guard Stephen Curry said. And Kevin Durant lost a 3-1 Conference Finals lead to these same Warriors past year, so he'll come at this game with a sense of urgency, too.

Three times, they delivered it to him 15 feet from the hoop and then cleared out.

After a strong Game 1 in the Portland series, he has been quiet the last couple weeks, missing two games against the Blazers with a twinged calf and then slowly working his way back, slumping mostly to the offensive background, by Durant standards.

Golden State went on a 17-5 run midway through the fourth and pulled away for a 102-91 win and now lead Utah 3-0. Although ideally the Utah will want to claim two home victories in Games 3 and 4 to stretch the game to Game 7.

Thirty seconds later, Durant delivered a hard foul to Gobert and the two got into it after the whistle.

Warriors interim coach Mike Brown took matters into his own hands in Game 2 when it came to getting Curry back in the game. After chirping at a courtside fan, who among other things, said "legacy" to Durant, the Warriors' lanky scorer planted a fadeaway with 2:09 left to put the Warriors up 11.

The Jazz played their best game of the series by far. "I feel like it opens up my scoring a little bit more". Seeing Durant let his inner rage loose is a positive sign going forward and a bad one for any team that gets in his way.

The Golden State Warriors headed into Game 3 with a 2-0 lead on the Utah Jazz.

Still, that felt like it would be enough for a while. Golden State has been able to play an up-tempo style against the team that played at the NBA's slowest pace in the regular season, creating a recipe for disaster for the Jazz. Utah took its first lead for the first time in the series 48-47 when Rodney Hood buried a wide-open corner three with 1:01 left in the second quarter. While his 7-of-15 mark from the free throw line was troubling, he did help lead Utah to a 38-34 advantage in terms of points in the paint. I've never really had any beef with any players on the Jazz or done anything wrong to them. Draymond Green had nine points, and Klay Thompson had a whole six. Johnson had been a big factor off the bench in the firs-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, but started Games 1 and 2 against the Warriors.

The best part of the pair's reaction is easily Curry's face popping up like a teacher had called him out for sleeping in class. The Warriors regained the lead on a lob from Green to Igoudala and the quarter ended with them up 72-70.
