He declined to say whether the remains of 22-year-old Mark Sturgis, 19-year-old Jimi Tar Patrick and 21-year-old Tom Meo were among those buried with the remains of Finocchiaro. The charge stems from accusations that DiNardo was caught with a shotgun and ammunition in February despite a prior involuntary commitment to a mental health institution.

Multiple human remains have been discovered in the search for four missing men in Pennsylvania.

"I don't understand the science behind it, but those dogs could smell these poor boys 12½ feet below the ground", Weintraub said at a midnight news conference.

Authorities found the vehicle on Sunday, along with Meo's auto keys and title, in a garage on a Solebury Township property owned by DiNardo's parents, Weintraub said.

Finocchiaro, who was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, was one of four young men who mysteriously disappeared last week.

Patrick was last seen on Wednesday, while the other three men went missing last Friday.

Close friends Sturgis and Meo were last seen near the Doylestown area in Bucks County, CNN affiliate KYW-TV reported.

DiNardo's parents also issued a statement saying they sympathize with the families of the missing men and are doing everything to cooperate with police. Court records showed DiNardo was released late Tuesday after his father posted 10 percent of his $1 million cash bail.

While the search intensified, Dinardo was arrested and accused of stealing and attempting to sell Meo's 1996 Nissan Maxima.

'Everybody you talk to about this guy, you hear he's mentally unstable'.

It has been more than a week since the first man went missing.

Leading into their search for the missing men, the Federal Bureau of Investigation used heavy equipment digging a deep ditch on the farm property, sifting through each bucket of dirt by hand.

At a media briefing, Weintraub said he believed the property was a crime scene, based on information that couldn't be released to the public yet.

Officials were able to identify the remains of 19-year-old Dean Finocchiaro.

Patrick and DiNardo both attended Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem. An affidavit in that case cited DiNardo 'suffering from mental illness.' describing the 20 year old as a schizophrenic.

Police sources, on the other hand, claim that DiNardo has previously exhibited violent tendencies, and has not been cooperating with the investigation. Previous run in with the law included traffic violations and other minor infractions.

No one has been charged in Finocchiaro's death or the disappearance of the other men.
