Meanwhile, Dileep's lawyers will move bail application in the High Court next, as per reports.

Chennai: A magistrate court in Angamaly on Saturday denied bail to Malayalam actor Dileep who was arrested on charges of abduction-cum-molestation of a leading actress.

Counsel also submitted a sealed cover with two mobile phones of Dileep to the court, with a plea to conduct a scientific examination of them without handing them over to police, as they would then be tampered with. After hearing the arguments of the prosecution and also the counter arguments of the lawyer who appeared to defend the actor, the court rejected the bail plea.

The actor, brought to the court amid tight security on completion of three-day police custody, was later sent to a sub-jail in Aluva, which is also his home town. At the same time, the police also say that Dileep is no longer co-perating with the investigation. The police did not seek further custody of the actor. The prosecution argued that the actor might erase the evidence if he gets bail.
