Michelle Pfeiffer has been cast as Janet van Dyne in next year's Ant-Man and the Wasp, Marvel Studios announced at San Diego Comic-Con.

Pfeiffer famously played Catwoman in 1992's Batman Returns alongside Michael Keaton, who himself joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Homecoming, playing the supervillain Vulture. Janet van Dyne is also the superhero known as The Wasp, as well as the wife of the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). She died before the events of the movie.

The casting of Pfeiffer strongly suggests that her character will either appear in flashbacks or that she could return from the subatomic realm to reunite with her husband and daughter. Another veteran actor now in the MCU stable, we can expect Fishburne's Dr. Bill Foster to share a good deal of backstory and screen time with Pym and van Dyne. In the comics, he was the lab assistant of Pym and had size-changing abilities of his own.

In Ant-Man & the Wasp, it's nearly guaranteed that Foster will have worked alongside Pym in the past.

Stenson, meanwhile, joined Johnson on three under par after shooting a third-round 65 that featured six birdies and a bogey. Sometimes it helps not knowing these things. "I was just in the zone, taking it hole by hole", Grace added.

At Comic-Con, he was confirmed to be playing Sonny Burch. In the comics he works at the same place as Corey Stoll's character did in the first flick as he'sthe chairman of Cross Technolgies.

Hannah John-Kamen, star of SYFY's Killjoys and who has roles in Tomb Raider and Ready Player One, will play The Ghost in the film.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will buzz into theaters July 6, 2018.

The original Wasp from the comic book series is not just another superhero as she is also a founding member of the Avengers.
