Farah's unbeaten run was finally ended on Saturday when he had to settle for silver in the 5,000m, his final championship race at the Worlds.

"I'm disappointed with silver but at the same time a better man won on the day and there's nothing I could have done. I don't know why". After that, the pace slowed drastically, which has historically played into Farah's strengths as he is one of the best in the world over the final 600m-800m of a distance race.

Sir Mo Farah has hit back at questions over his legacy after finishing second in the World Championships 5,000m final on Saturday night.

'How many races has he been to this year for me or last year?

Farah avoided any such drama and pulled clear down the home straight, holding off the challenge of American Paul Kipkemoi Chelimo and Ethiopian Hagos Gebrhiwet to become only the second man after Lasse Viren to retain Olympic 5,000m and 10,000m titles.

He is due to retire from the track at the end of the month, after the Diamond League final in Zurich, to focus on the marathon, and conceded he was overcome in the London Stadium.

Edris finished in 13:32.79, and Farah snuck past Kejelcha on the inside to take second in 13:33.22 with Chelimo third in 13:30.33.

Edris said his "Mobot" gesture was both a symbol of the passing of the champion's baton and a mark of respect for Farah.

And the Toffees are not finished there, as negotiations continue with Swansea over B£50m-rated playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson. Everton also signed Sandro Ramirez from Malaga, who scored an impressive 14 goals in 30 appearances last season .

"You guys, so many times towards me, you have been unfair".

"I gave it my all, 110 percent", said Farah. Sometimes I find it freakish how certain people write certain things to suit how they want to sell the story.

It has been said that the Africans had to work together to beat Farah and, while there was a bit of teamwork from the Ethiopians, it wasn't a major factor in the outcome. A new world -- like when I went to Disneyland. I've a few races left, then I'll take a nice break and see how it goes.

I didn't have much support but we did it.

"Sometimes, I get emotional because track is where I've made it".

Chelimo fell with four laps to go on the wet track in Wednesday's semifinals but came back and qualified.
