A new "Family" system rejigs the old master/sub-account hierarchy and allows for tailored parental controls for individual users, and a "Custom Lists" option replaces the old Favourite Groups to allow players to design their own lists based on individual preferences. Perhaps most interestingly, though, is Sony's insistence on charging 50¢ for the first time any North American user tries to set up an Adult account in order "to verify that you are an adult".

PS4 System Software Update 5.00 (codenamed Nobunaga) makes a variety of changes across the board. Both the manager and parent-level accounts can customize parental controls for each child account.

Sony has revealed the new features that will be arriving with the PS4 5.0 system update. This way, "you can create a custom list of your Destiny teammates and easily send them raid invites", Kelly wrote.

All parental controls (including game age ratings) can be individually attuned for each child.

Users will be able to bind a community that they own to their broadcast. When a broadcast is linked to a community, the community button appears on the Live from PlayStation spectator screen. This allows any spectator to go directly to the community page to look over details or join.

The bout which is all set for the 26th of August at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas is highly anticipated in positive and negative light's across the boxing spectrum.

Some of the enhancements on the way in the PS4's Update 5.0 focus on streaming while using the console's built-in broadcasting capabilities, as PS4 Pro users will be able to stream in 1080p and 60 FPS, provided their connection is strong enough, while PlayStation VR users will be able to see new messages and comments coming through while broadcasting.

Users can now share individual tracks in messages.

Users will be able to disable pop-up notifications while watching a movie or television show on the PlayStation 4. If they open the message on the PlayStation mobile app, clicking on your message opens the track in Spotify. This setting is off by default, so go to Settings Notifications to disable notifications and go uninterrupted during your videos. Turning the setting off the pop-up notification will hide the message senders' online ID showing a generic user icon and message instead. Joining those changes are some updates to the Quick Menu, namely the addition of the notifications menu to this, making the notification alerts accessible while playing a game.

Those lucky enough to be selected for the Beta will have received an email with a code that will let them download the 5.00 Firmware file to test drive. The pop-up color can also be changed from white to black. The Quick Menu is also getting a "Leave This Party" option.

PlayStation VR now supports 5.1ch and 7.1ch virtual surround sound through your headphones when watching Blu-rays and DVDs in Cinematic Mode, making for an even more immersive viewing experience. Finally, there's an improved bracket viewer for tournaments and new language additions.
