Gauri Lankesh murder: Mumbaiites demand an impartial probe

The BJP today criticised Rahul Gandhi for linking Gauri Lankesh's murder to the RSS-BJP and said neither the party nor any organisation linked to it was involved in the crime. Gauri was shot at her residence from "close range" as per the initial investigation of the police.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed alarm over the killing of Lankesh and demanded justice.

Hundreds of journalists joined the rally with posters banners and holding candles condemning the murder of the Bengaluru-based journalist and social activist.
