A suicide bombing attack struck a packed Sufi shrine in Pakistan on Thursday, killing 13 people and leaving 20 others injured.

According to Aljazeera, this same shrine, built to honour Sufi saint Pir Rakhel Shah, was also attacked on March 19, 2005, in one of the first such attacks in Pakistan.

The attack, claimed by the Islamic State group, took place when there was a heavy rush of devotees who had gathered at the shrine in the village of Jhal Masgi, located about 400 km from Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province. "The bomber had tried to enter the shrine but a police constable stopped him at the gate, after which he detonated his explosives", Mohammad Iqbal, the district's top police official, said.

Officials said the death toll rose after an under-treatment victim succumbed to his injuries at the Chandka hospital in Larkana.

The best aspect about the camera is that it does all of this itself and the technology behind it is housed in a tiny body. The camera is able to capture soundless video of things that it is trained to recognise, whether that be faces or pets.

A spokesperson for the police said that investigations were still under way.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack though authorities of Pakistan usually blame extremist groups like Baluchistan's separatist insurgent group for similar terrorist blasts.

In a statement released by ISIS' media wing, the Amaq news agency, the Islamic State of Khorasan claimed it had sent the bomber to strike the shrine in Jhal Magsi. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi condemned the attack and vowed that his government will act against militants with full might.

In February of this year, at least 75 people were killed in an attack on Pakistan's Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine, in the southern city of Sehwan in the Sindh province. Limbs of the dead and injured lay in pools of blood.
