For one day only starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, select McDonald's locations will be serving Rick's favorite limited edition dipping sauce: the Mulan Szechuan McNugget Sauce.

The viral interest in McDonald's old Szechuan Sauce, thanks to the show "Rick and Morty", has led one local McDonald's to bring it back. They truly put the "I WANT THAT SZECHUAN SAUCE" in "Buttermilk Crispy Tenders".

How far are you willing to drive to get your hands on McDonald's special Szechuan dipping sauce, popular again because of the offbeat cartoon "Rick and Morty"? During this season's premiere episode, which aired on April's Fool Day, Rick vowed he'd get his hands on his beloved sauce, even if it took nine seasons.

McDonald's will start serving Szechuan Sauce starting at 2 p.m. on October 7, while supplies last, according to the release.

Simona Halep into China Open final; becomes new World No 1
I'm really happy that I could do this. "Of course it's the best moment in my life, and I want just to keep it", Halep said. In the quarter-finals, she meets the victor between 11th-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland and Russian Daria Kasatkina.

"It's really amusing because if you're going to get robbed, get robbed by McDonald's", Harmon said.

Fans took notice. Problem is, that sauce hasn't been available since 1998 when the Disney movie "Mulan" was released. "The [version of Mr.] Poopybutthole with the slightly shorter hat and McDonald's vague allusions to 'Hey, you seem like someone who likes traveling the galaxy kind of through a portal sort of thing, maybe you should have some Szechuan sauce.' It's really amusing because if you're going to get robbed, get robbed by McDonald's".

"Rick and Morty" follows Rick, a frequently intoxicated, nihilistic mad scientist, and his grandson Morty, a perpetually anxious teenager, on their adult-themed adventures across planets, universes and dimensions. The sauce is described in corporate literature as "savory and slightly sweet. with hints of soy, ginger, garlic, and slight vinegar notes".

The official website of the sauce lists the McDonald's at 804 S Riverside Dr as the only Iowa franchise where fans will be able to get it. "It's a great moment for McDonald's and our fans that I'm definitely not taking for granted".
