"This is the first time I've been stuck in space", she said in fan-shot videos of the awkward experience. Should I tell some jokes, should I tell some stories? "Thanks for teaching me how 2write (to write) a real song & sticking by me all these years". It's a whole big deal - you'd better pick your phone up because this is a YouTube moment.

Katy eventually managed to descend from on high, but-due to not wanting to crush everyone in her audience-she was forced to leap to the floor and "walk amongst her people". Instead, she was left stranded atop the miniature Saturn, where she quickly started ad-libbing to the crowd to fill time.

Perry went on to say, "I love this so much, this is what you get for trying to bring out all of space to Nashville", before continuing the concert. "I'm going to be stuck here forever", she said.

The Bon Appétit belter later tweeted: 'SMASHVILLE aka Nashville u were an INCREDIBLE time tonight! "Should I just, like, jump?"

Teens to behave nicely, Facebook buys app with 5M downloads
Perhaps most clearly, TBH is yet another channel where Facebook can command the time and attention of young people. In the past nine weeks, tbh had achieved 5 million downloads and 2.5 million daily active users through its app.

Still, at least some fans got a lot closer to Katy than they could have ever hoped, as after a very long two minutes, she dived into the crowd and walked back to the stage.

Every night so far on her Witness World Tour, Perry has sat down on a giant foam model of the planet Saturn and strummed her acoustic guitar for a couple of her quieter songs.

The "Swish Swish" singer has been making headlines as a new judge for the ABC reboot of American Idol next to Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
