It stems from an altercation that occurred Friday night between the Wizards and Warriors, when Washington guard Bradley Beal grabbed Golden State forward Draymond Green around the neck.

Instead, the league gave both Markieff Morris and Carrick Felix a one-game ban without pay for leaving the bench to intervene.

The suspensions and fines were announced on Sunday by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

Green's jersey was ripped to shreds in the scuffle. Kelly Oubre Jr. has also been fined $15,000 for aggressively entering the altercation.

First Charges Filed in Trump-Russia Special Counsel Investigation
A federal grand jury approved the first charges filed by special counsel Robert Mueller , according to an exclusive CNN report . A federal grand jury handed down the charges , which were still under seal at the order of a federal judge, CNN reported.

After the referees conferred and reviewed the skirmish, both Green and Beal were hit with techs, but later the refs chose to eject both Green and Beal. Beal was fined $50,000 for initiating the incident, and Green was fined $25,000. That enraged Green, and they became entangled with arms around each other. "It looked to me that Oubre came out there running into the crowd and caused a lot more".

Casspi, who recently returned from an ankle injury, scored his first basket since joining the team this season.

As the second quarter wound to a close, Beal drove into the paint with Green guarding him and had his attempted floated blocked in a major way. "So it seems like maybe those fines could have been reversed".

Wizards Coach Scott Brooks, meanwhile, said before Sunday's game that Morris will practice Tuesday back in Washington, and if everything goes well, he could be cleared to return Wednesday at Capital One Arena against the Phoenix Suns.
