The only child of Pakistan's founder was born on August 15, 1919 and came to Pakistan twice in her lifetime. She was 98. The Foreign Office in a message said that President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi "expressed deepest condolences, on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, on the passing away of Ms Dina Wadia". "I was fortunate enough to have met her & really admired her", Preity tweeted as soon as news broke of Dina Wadia's death. In one picture, she is standing with her father and aunt, Fatima Jinnah.

Ary News wrote about the time Dina visited Pakistan on two occasions: First, for Jinnah's funeral in Karachi in 1948 and the second, and last time, in 2004 for an India-Pakistan cricket match. "May his dream for Pakistan come true". "That is what I gleaned from the various letters written between Ruttie and Sarojini Naidu's daughters, Padmaja and Leelamani, who were her friends. She reminded us of the strong personality of Jinnah, who dedicated his life for the creation of Pakistan", he added.
