While it remains to be seen how that ailment will affect Bennett's availability going forward, scooping him up now is a classic Patriots move. He has a shoulder injury that kept him out of the Packers' most recent game and two weeks of practice.

"This is a clear issue of the Packers and Martellus Bennett not being on the same page, really from A to Z", NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Wednesday. Bennett dropped a few passes, but was an asset in the running game.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Patriots claimed Bennett off the waiver wire on Thursday.

Spacey, who was 26 at the time , said: "I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago". Last week, Netflix confirmed that they will not be producing any new episodes of 'House Of Cards' featuring the actor.

Bennett thrived in his one season with the Patriots catching 55 passes for 701 yards and seven touchdowns.

Bennett, who was waived by the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, played for the Patriots in 2016. He made news during Green Bay's bye week when he announced he was planning to retire at the end of the 2017 season.

"After conversations with my family I'm pretty sure these next 8 games will be the conclusion of my National Football League career", Bennett wrote. Allen, however, has not recorded a catch in eight games this season, and in part because of that, the Patriots' offense has struggled in the red zone. Both have had 50-catch seasons. To everyone who has poured themselves and time into my life and career.

In that sense, there's limited risk for the Patriots, assuming Bennett is healthy and motivated.
