1970's teen heartthrob David Cassidy is suffering from multiple organ failure at a Florida hospital, his rep confirmed to several media outlets Saturday.

"The Partridge Family", a sitcom about a mother and five children who formed a rock "n" roll band, gave Cassidy a national audience for his music.

David, we're told, was in an induced coma but is now in and out of consciousness.

David's family have apparently been arriving at the hospital to comfort him.

USA senator Al Franken apologises after accusation of groping
Democrats throughout the morning weighed in with disappointment toward Franken and calls for an Ethics Committee investigation . Al Franken kissed and groped her without her consent when the two of them were overseas on a USO tour in Afghanistan in 2006.

Cassidy, 67, was rushed to the hospital about three days ago and is in desperate need of a liver transplant.

Cassidy kept touring and recording after his role as Keith Partridge ended in 1974, performing on Broadway in NY, in London's West End and in Las Vegas. Cassidy's health has been in decline for more than two months, and his family has been told to prepare for the worst. I want to love.

Cassidy is best known for his role as Keith Partridge in the '70s TV series and for his career as a pop singer.
