Tweeting Trump unloads on thankless trash-talking LaVar Ball

Sargent's piece is highly critical of Trump, accusing him of peddling a message to his supporters that "the system is unfairly rigged on behalf of minorities".

Ball's son, LiAngelo, was recently released by Chinese authorities after they accused him and two other UCLA basketball players of shoplifting while the team was on a visit to the Asian country.

The latest in the media tennis match occurred early Wednesday morning (Nov. 22) when President Trump angrily responded to LaVar Ball's well-received interview on CNN in which he questioned why the President is even feuding with him in the first place, saying "why are we talking about this with all these political matters going on in the world?" Don't tell me nothing.

"Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal", Trump tweeted. In response, Sargent retweeted Trump's tweet with a comment: "Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. President".

After returning to the United States, Trump wrote on Twitter, referring to himself in the third person: "Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you to President Trump?"
