Apple has launched their one-day Black Friday shopping event in Canada, and as expected from what we learned yesterday in Australia and New Zealand, deals are the same in the form of gift cards. Still, given its report lines up closely with Daily Economic News' one, we can't really rule it out entirely, they may very well be right.

We're of course rounding up all the best Black Friday deals over at 9to5Toys, which this year includes $5 off any print book order over $20 at Amazon - just apply coupon code GIFTBOOK17.

You could use that gift card for anything you want at Walmart, so if you're not interested in spending the "cash" on more electronics, you could stock up on groceries (for example) with your windfall.

Apple's Australian homepage has an "Imagination is a gift" panel leading to a gifts page headed by the offer. Even the latest iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X aren't eligible for gift cards, nor are Apple Watch Series 3 models.

Market in positive lane for 7th day
Sector-wise, IT rose by 1.02 per cent, energy 0.83 per cent, media 0.26 per cent and pharma 0.16 per cent. On the other hand, the S&P BSE metal index fell by 85.35 points and basic materials index by 8.36 points.

If you buy selected Macs, iPads, iPhone and Apple Watch on Black Friday this year you can get a range of gift cards for the Apple store of varying amounts. Target ( TGT ) was offering $250 gift cards for iPhone 8 purchases with qualifying service plans.

Those who add an iPad or iPad mini to their basket will be given a $50 gift card to spend on Apple goodies, while iPad Pro purchases will come with a $100 gift card.

The Macbook, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro are all covered by the deal. There are other deals on holiday products as well, so do check that out as well. United Kingdom high street and online retailer has special offers on many Apple devices until Monday 27 November.
