My real life was really rather drab compared with the life of Doctor Who when we were making it. "Doctor Who for me was an asylum and when I was in (it), in full flight, making silly suggestions or pulling amusing faces to make actors laugh, then I was happy".

The episode was also written by Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy author Douglas Adams, who later recycled some of the unused characters for his novel Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

"I loved doing Doctor Who, it was life to me". The episode had to be shelved due to an industrial strike at the BBC. Baker starred as the fourth Doctor in the long-running series.

Some 36 years since he last played the role, Tom Baker is stepping back into the Tardis to play Doctor Who again. "I'm so glad that BBC Worldwide [has] found a way to bring fans a complete visual version", Baker said with the release of the trailer, which combines the old footage with the new animation by Charles Norton. On the 23rd, the BBC tweeted a video of Tom Baker wishing Doctor Who a happy birthday, where he called himself the "happiest" of Doctors.

Similarly, New Jersey-based Mondelez said it was "deeply concerned" and had suspended its advertising on YouTube , too. YouTube announced Wednesday that they're taking steps to combat child exploitation on the platform.

Despite attempts by new Doctor Who producer John Nathan-Turner to resume the episodes-scheduled to air January 19-Feb.

Tom Baker has returned to Doctor Who for one very special reason - he'll be helping complete a lost episode of the series so that it can finally be enjoyed in full.

"Shada" was meant to be the final episode of Doctor Who's 17th season, follows the Doctor as he faces off against a devious alien scientist who is attempting to locate a hidden Time Lord prison planet named Shada.

The lost episode will be available to buy on digital download and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 4.
