President Trump and First Lady Melania Trumps' signatures appear to be almost identical in new Christmas card.

"On behalf of my husband and Barron, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season", the first lady added.

President Trump has followed through on his promise to say Merry Christmas again instead of the politically correct Happy Holidays greeting.

Thursday night, United States President Donald Trump and his wife Melania will light America's national Christmas tree in a park near the White House. Melania Trump tweeted Monday morning. Sheila Kurtz, a handwriting expert, told Yahoo in May that Melania's signature "looks just like his, which is absolutely incredible", but this is no coincidence as she suggests that it's "stylized" to resemble President Trumps. Trump has vowed to put "Christmas" back at the centre of the holidays.

Among the Christmas standards is an 18-foot (about 5.5-meter) fir tree in its traditional spot in the Blue Room, decorated with ornaments bearing the seals of every state and US territory.

In a video the First Lady posted on Twitter, viewers can see the nativity scene, which shows Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus with a crown, as well as other stunning Christmas decorations. A separate tree near the East Wing entrance is dedicated to families that lost loved ones in the military.

The 350-pound (about 160-kilogram) gingerbread house this year offers a view of the White House from the south.

American Urban Radio Networks Washington Bureau Chief April Ryan, one of the few minority female journalists credentialed to attend the White House daily press briefings, said it was no mistake that she had yet to receive an invitation for the yuletide event. The White House said Mrs. Trump chose every detail of the decor and did a final check late Sunday after returning from the family's Thanksgiving at their estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

The holiday celebrating begins later Monday with a party for the volunteer decorators and will continue well into December with receptions and parties - sometimes two a day - for the next several weeks.

A Nativity scene has been on display since 1967, including during the term of President Obama. The tree was then adorned with seals of every USA state and territory.
