Today, it's getting three new features that Waze says have been among the most frequently requested by users. Traffic data garnered by Waze from its global army of bikers will then be treated a little differently from vehicle data, resulting in tailored routes and times.

Waze is getting a few new features today that are either firsts for any navigation app, or just functionally super convenient, including an option to optimize routes for travel by motorcycle, routing that incorporates use of high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes, and the ability to have Waze listen for a voice trigger phrase passively and then interpret voice commands for both navigation and reporting traffic incidents while on the road completely hands-free. In some places, only hands-free use of mobile phones is allowed.

Next up is the new Talk to Waze feature, which gives users the power to command the Waze app with only the sound of your voice and two magic words: "OK Waze." . You can also use "OK Waze" to report traffic jam, accidents, and such. These settings will vary by city, but you can tell the app if you've got an eligible fuel-efficient vehicle or if you have a carpool.

He recently repeated that claim to an adviser recently, the Times said. He admitted to making the offensive remarks, and he apologized .

If you ride with a full carpool crew, head to Settings Navigation Add Toll/HOV pass Select from a pre-populated list of passes available in your area. The feature is available for English-speaking users in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, and New Zealand. Those who qualify for carpool lanes because they're driving a hybrid or electric auto must go to Settings Navigation Vehicle Type.

Sat-nav app Waze has introduced a new motorcycle mode, making it easier for the estimated 1.1 million riders on the road to get directions to destinations.

The feature is now supported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and D.C as well as Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. To enable it, go to Settings, tap Vehicle Type, then tap Motorcycles.
