Cyclone Ockhi likely to make landfall in Gujarat on Tuesday midnight

Maharashtra minister Vinod Tawde took to micro-blogging site Twitter and declared holiday for Sindhudurga, Thane, Raigad and Palghar districts. NDRF teams have been put on alert and deployed at critical locations. He was scheduled to address a public meeting in Surat on Wednesday at 6 pm but he will now do so on Thursday at 1 pm.

The rally of Modi can be again rescheduled on December 7, the party leader said.

While Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi held a poll rally in Anjar but his three rallies in Morbi, Dhrangadhra and Surendranagar were cancelled due to the impending cyclone. Though Vaghela was supposed to reach Surat on Tuesday night, he dropped his plan due to the approaching cyclone.
