Eagles head coach Doug Pederson will speak Monday at noon after star quarterback Carson Wentz was injured Sunday late in the third quarter against the Los Angeles Rams. The former North Dakota State star, the No. 2 overall pick in last year's National Football League draft, finishes his second pro season with 3,296 yards passing and a Philadelphia single-season record 33 touchdowns against only seven interceptions.

Pederson said there is no timetable to when Wentz will undergo surgery to address the injury.

After Carson Wentz's season officially ended due to a torn ACL, Philadelphia sports fans began to speculate on ways to save their promising season, and one name has come up in multiple circles of water cooler conversation: Colin Kaepernick. Foles was able to close out the victory on Sunday in Los Angeles but looked nowhere near as capable of Wentz of putting the team on his back through the playoffs. He is 20-17 as a starter in six seasons with the Eagles, Rams and Kansas City.

"He's a highly intelligent football player", Pederson said.

"It's your job to go in there and just try to find completions and play fast because it had been awhile since I played", Foles said. The Eagles have to be careful to not bring Wentz back before he's ready, because he's a young superstar who should be the foundation of that team for many years. We have been plagued with injuries all year long.

In an interview aired Sunday on "The Voice of Alabama Politics", the former judge insisted "I never molested anyone". He has repeatedly denied the allegations. "I did not know them".

Wentz has been special and he proved it again on Sunday.

"It's so humbling to know how many people are praying for me and lifting me up and encouraging me".

"Losing Wentz is a big hole, no doubt, but if the rest of the team is good enough to be champions, then there's a good chance Foles will be OK".

Third, the Eagles play at the Giants next Sunday in NY.

"There's absolutely an opportunity for Nick Foles", Garcia said. "To the fans out there, you can't lose faith". They will be a heavy favorite even without Wentz.
