Finally, it was made a decision to grant a U/A certificate to the film, provided they make the required cuts and change the name of the film to Padmavat.

Sources speaking with CNN-News18 said that disclaimers about sati and there being "no intention to distort history" would be included in the film, and that the filmmakers had "agreed to some conditions". The board has also suggested a change in the title to "Padmavat".

The film stars popular actress Deepika Padukone, who was the target of Rajput groups who were against its release. Fringe groups had taken to streets protesting against the release and had also demanded an apology from the crew, and had been protesting from Bengaluru to Rajasthan to various parts of the nation.

The Bollywood film, which was slated to be released on December 1, was indefinitely postponed by a studio run by a partnership of Viacom and Network 18 owned by Mumbai's Reliance Industries.

It further clarifies that the film was approached with a balanced view keeping in mind both the filmmakers and the society. Talking about how the decision was reached upon, Joshi revealed, "The members of the panel had insights and also some reservations regarding the claimed historical events and socio-cultural aspects which were duly discussed at length after viewing the film on the evening of December 28".

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 users can't charge their devices
There is no confirmation on it, but it could mean that the Snapdragon edition of the Galaxy Note 8 could be facing this issue. It has not yet made any official statement, despite the widespread reports , pretty much like the case of the Galaxy Note 7.

Earlier, Bhansali had appealed CBFC to invite a panel of historians/academicians and members of the Rajput community to watch the movie.

The Rajput body's member Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi has said that the film has been cleared "under pressure from the underworld".

"So Bhansali can now actually throw a party". Thereby, nobody will have any issue and nobody's sentiments will be hurt. They want the name of the film to be changed. "Now that Gujarat and Himachal are won, "Padmavati" has got its U/A, it will be praised..." "We will continue our protests". "Can you imagine what title CBFC would suggest", he tweeted. He has also said that "Padmavat" written by Malik Mohammed Jaysi can not be accepted as a historical fact.

"Actor Rahul Dev tweeted: "'Padmavati" turns "Padmavat, ' smart move, yet wonder why is the "I" so large in our country? Protestors were angry over picturisation of Deepika Padukone's song Ghoomar and they also feels that the facts were not rightly shown in the film.
