It's only the third time that domestic revenue has crossed $11 billion.

In total, the film has earned $517 total gross at the United States box office, a massive number for a film that opened earlier in December!

Carrie Fisher left us one year ago but as evidenced by the many recent tributes, her legacy and the impact she had on Star Wars fans never will cease.

The latest installment also topped the box office for the third weekend in a row, despite still falling behind "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in sales. The Last Jedi is still pacing well behind 2015's record-breaking The Force Awakens, but in a matter of days, it will surpass the entire global gross of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which earned $1.06 billion after opening past year. Through Sunday, The Last Jedi has racked up an estimated $517.1 million domestically, and it's expected to reach $530.3 million after New Year's Day.

Jay-Z just teased an upcoming video for " Family Feud ", a track off his studio album 4:44 , which was released this June. In the past, Jay-Z makes his TIDAL exclusives available later, like YouTube , so let's keep our fingers crossed.

Five years after Disney bought Lucasfilm for a whopping $4 billion, box office grosses for "The Force Awakens" ($2.06 billion), "Rogue One" ($1.05 billion) and "The Last Jedi" have matched that amount, not to mention the billions more in merchandising, TV deals, and other ancillary revenue that have come from this new era in the forty-year-old franchise. The film earned $230 in its first three days in foreign markets.

The Last Jedi won't open in China, the largest worldwide market, until January. That would push The Last Jedi past Beauty and the Beast ($504 million) to become this year's highest-grossing domestic release.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi now has an 83.28 ComicBook.com Composite Score.
