A good crop of guests make up the first season: George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern, and freakin' Barack Obama.

Former President Barack Obama will be the first guest on David Letterman's monthly interview show on Netflix.

The 44th President of the United States is expected to be Letterman's inaugural guest on his new hour-long Netflix series "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction".

This screengrab shows a preview of David Letterman (R)'s interview with former U.S. president Barack Obama which will be shown on Netflix.

The show will focus on a solo guest in interviews that take place inside and outside a studio.

Triple talaq bill likely to be tabled in Rajya Sabha tomorrow
The opposition voted in favour of the bill, but with caveats. "There is no question of us not standing by anything that empowers women".

The new show is Letterman's return to the limelight after leaving "The Late Show With David Letterman" in May 2015, marking the end of a legendary stint as a late-night talk-show host that started at NBC in 1982.

Subsequent episodes will be released once a month from February through June, adding up to a total of six 60-minute episodes.

Letterman's Worldwide Pants production company is teaming with RadicalMedia for the series, which Letterman says is a welcome back to the spotlight after his lengthy "Late Show" run. The new show is set to launch on January 12.

This is the first time Letterman has led a series in over two years. The conversations are intimate, in-depth and far-reaching, with the levity and humor Dave's fans know and love.
