TWO penalties helped Real Madrid to a healthy 3-0 win in the first leg of their Copa Del Rey tie with second-tier Numancia, while Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw as the La Liga giants rested their stars.

Gareth Bale instantly responded by scoring twice in three minutes to put the stuttering champions in front before halftime but Celta came right back at Zinedine Zidane's side, with Iago Aspas squandering a penalty before Maxi Gomez levelled with a header in the 82nd minute.

"We do what we can, we try to play good football, score goals and circulate the ball, but it's not happening for us".

"He has shown everything he can do for us in three or four minutes". "It's a good result for us". Despite the raft of absences Barca took the lead after 15 minutes through a neat Jose Arnaiz finish, but after a bright start they ceded control to the hosts.

"In two years, no player has arrived in that position and [in June] we can discuss it".

Isaiah Thomas responds to Paul Pierce's video tribute comments
At 25-13, Cleveland is now sitting in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference, 4.5 games back of the 31-10 Celtics. Thomas has said it is up to the Celtics to decide whether they want to honor him during the February 11 game.

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly want to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in the summer, and they're prepared "to go all out" to land his signature. "He's very young. I think he has a lot of space for improvement".

After the game club record signing Philippe Coutinho appeared at the Nou Camp to pose for photographs a day after completing his 142-million-pound ($192.54-million) move from Liverpool to Barca.

A source at Barcelona told AFP that "for reasons of confidentiality the club never comments on contractual relations with players".

Tax evasion allegations by Spanish authorities have also damaged Ronaldo's resolve to stay, it's said.

"The main thing we lacked today was we didn't play the second half", said the Frenchman, who last season guided Real to their first Liga and European Cup double since 1958.
