"I hate playing her because she gets this look on her face where she just looks sad if she's losing - solemn", Serena said.

Serena Williams suffered from a series of scary complications following her daughter Alexis' arrival in September.

Serena pulled out of the Australian Open after losing a December exhibition match against Jelena Ostapenko in Abu Dhabi. In all, she was off the tour for about 10 months at the time, returning in 2011.

"I absolutely want more grand slams".

"Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams", she said. "I'm well aware of the record books, unfortunately". Her husband, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, added that, "the feeling of not being able to help made [motherhood] even harder".

Serena appears in a red Versace dress while holding the baby, who is wearing a white bodysuit and touching her mom while making a fist nearly victoriously with her other hand. "When I'm too anxious, I lose matches, and I feel like a lot of that anxiety disappeared when Olympia was born". "Knowing I've got this lovely baby to go home to makes me feel like I don't have to play another match". "I don't need the money or the titles or the prestige". They pack everything! It's a bit extravagant for me. "That's a different feeling for me".

Inside the February issue, the 36-year-old opened up about having an emergency C-section after her daughter's heart rate dropped.

India scored 209 runs in 1st innings against Proteas
Of course, 20 wickets to win a Test match is the priority. "It definitely ranks as one of my favourite Test matches". I think it was great for Test cricket - getting a result in four days despite losing a day's play.

Serena, who has a history of blood clots, had to go off of her daily anticoagulant medication because of her C-section. Then she got clots in her lungs and needed to inject herself with a blood thinner. "We got a baby girl", said Williams in a social media video posted after she gave birth to baby Alexis Olympia Ohanian.

The next ordeal came after her fresh C-section wound opened up from coughing spells, caused by pulmonary embolism. According to the article, the tennis superstar "spent the first six weeks of motherhood unable to get out of bed".

In the interview, Williams also discussed her rivalry with her older sister, Venus.

And Serena Williams truly is a super hero. "I want to teach her that there are no limits".

I've been trying to figure out who I'm going to pass the torch to.

The first moments of motherhood were "amazing" but "then everything went bad", she told the magazine.
