Fifth Harmony's performance of "Down" and "Angel" at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards was probably the group's most memorable on-stage experience of all time, not because it was particularly groundbreaking or anything like that, but because it was shady AF.

What's maybe most unexpected about "Camila", beyond its outlier single, is how the overarching tone doesn't match up with the narrative we've all constructed for Cabello in our heads - the one where we've been primed to think of her as the alpha female of the Fifth Harmony story. From opening up for Bruno Mars during his 24K Magic World Tour in June 2017 to finally releasing her solo album, the 20-year-old is declaring her independence.

"I have to make space for the good stuff to happen in my life", she continued.

In his interview, John revealed that he was a fan of the former Fifth Harmony singer and admired her music.

The singer said it soon became clear that she couldn't balance her solo endeavours whilst remaining in the group, and made the hard decision to break away from the band to pursue her dreams. As for exactly why did she leave Fifth Harmony, the songstress admitted to the NYT that it was the first song she did without the group, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" along with her BFF Shawn Mendes that started to created tension with her bandmates. Your records make me smile.' I just love that attitude, there's a vibrance here that makes me feel good.

Smoke once & you're hooked, study confirms
According to the Office for National Statistics, 19.9 percent of British adults smoked ordinary cigarettes in 2010. Among them, almost 68.9% reported that they had progressed to smoking daily.

"It became clear that it was not possible to do solo stuff and be in the group at the same time", she added. Never spoken to her, never, but I just love her.

Cabello's debut solo album, Camila, is set to be released on Friday, January 12. The Healing. The Loving, but the Times story confirms it was changed so that Cabello could officially wash her hands of 5H drama.

"I just got really nervous 'cause I wasn't expecting for them to be there".

Fifth Harmony has continued as a quartet and released their self-titled third album previous year.
