Huawei Wins A Legal Battle Against Samsung In China

On May 25, 2016, the Shenzhen-based firm filed a lawsuit against Samsung in both China and the United States, claiming that its major rival was infringing on its patents concerning high-value telecommunication technology.

The deals, however, were never announced. Channel partners looking to add another option for customers will still be able to access the latest Huawei devices via retail channels - and Huawei could be a welcome addition to their line cards, one partner said.

To launch the pre-order for the new Huawei Mate 10 Pro on Super Bowl Sunday is already a big giveaway. The Huawei Super Bowl 2018 commercial has not been announced yet, but the evidence is overwhelming. According to the reports, AT&T has decided not to carry Huawei's smartphones.

AT&T spokesman Fletcher Cook declined to comment.

Last month, members of the Senate and House intelligence committees sent a letter asking the Federal Communications Commission to review any relationship with Huawei and requested the FCC get briefed on the security concerns raised in 2012. Other countries around the world do not have that issue with Huawei.

Huawei has faced similar roadblocks before.

Apple, the world's largest company by market capitalization, announced on Wednesday that the operation of its iCloud service in mainland China will be transferred to a state-owned firm called Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry Company from February 28 to comply with the country's cloud computing regulations.

Huawei CEO Richard Yu told a keynote audience why its new Mate 10 Pro smartphone is more advanced and more secure than both Apple and Samsung devices.

"We win the trust of the Chinese carriers, we win the trust of the emerging markets. and also, we win the trust of the global carriers, all the European and Japanese carriers". Incidentally, AT&T was the first mobile carrier for Apple when iPhone hit the market 11 years ago.
